1. What is “Too Many Losing Heroines!”? | A coming-of-age story set in Toyohashi

“Too Many Losing Heroines!” is a light novel series by Takibi Amamori. It won the Gagaga Prize at the 15th Shogakukan Light Novel Awards and is published by Gagaga Bunko.

The main character is Kazuhiko Nukumizu, a student at a high school in Toyohashi. The story follows Nukumizu as he somehow gets dragged around by Anna Yanami, Lemon Yakishio and Chika Komari, girls who could not become the partner of the person they loved, in other words, “losing heroines.”

The TV anime began airing on July 13, 2024. The animation was produced by A-1 Pictures. A second season has also been announced.

Real place names and shops appear in the series as they are. Because of this, collaboration events have continued at the station and around the city in Toyohashi. From October 3 to December 25, 2025, JR Central’s “Oshi-Tabi” campaign held an event where fans toured the city while listening to a voice drama.
